Madly Matte Lipgloss (Set #3) by Kleancolor Review

I got my set here off of Amazon.

I took swatches in order of their numbers so from left to right we have; "Punch" (1612), "Caliente" (1613),  "Rose" (1614),  "True Love" (1615), "Jam" (1616), and "Bitten" (1617).

The first colour I tried was “Jam” number 1616. It looks like a purpley pink colour and is super fun and cute. The colour went on super smooth and dried quick. It felt a little sticky at first but really isn't noticeable. I did put a very thin coat of lip balm after exfoliating before applying. My lips are not overly dry from this either. Love the color, love the feel, super happy. So far has lasted 20 minutes through eating and drinking.
After an hour the colour was still going strong. No smudges, no change in pigment. I used a little bit of chapstick to moisturize my lips and like none came off!
Two hours later I had eaten, had water, kissed my boyfriend and had not reapplied and it still looked the same as when I put it on initially.
8 hours later and the colour looks exactly as I had applied it. I ate, I drank, I talked, I kissed my boyfriend a few times, went to work for 5 hours, and the colour did not come off until I scrubbed hard with a washcloth and exfoliated. I would just consider getting this set just for the 1616 “Jam” colour!

"Jam" (1616) is second from the right! I love this colour, for real.

The Second colour I tried is “Rose” number 1614. It’s much like, well, a red rose! It applied smoothly in one thin coat. The colour is just as concentrated as 1616 “Jam”. I really like this colour and would consider it an everyday- wear colour. It did not dry out my lips, but I did put a very thin coat of lip balm after exfoliating before applying.
I was a bit disappointed as this colour wore off over the course of an hour so I had to reapply to make it look even again. Over the course of the day I reapplied 3 times to get the same look as when I first applied. Perhaps next time I use this colour, I will not use any sort of moisturizer beforehand and see how it goes.
This is still a great colour, and I think this lipstick would do particularly well for a party or a short outing with minimal eating and drinking!

"Rose" (1614) is the third from the left. A very nice reddish pink colour.

The Third colour I tried was “Bitten” number 1617. I really liked this colour because it was more of a berry-red. I would say this is actually quite a flattering colour on me even though I’m quite pale and at times reds can bring out the redness in my face. The colour went on very smooth, dried quickly, though was a bit sticky in the process. I did not apply lip balm before hand.
The colour lasted about 4-5 hours before having to be lightly reapplied. I ate a lot with it on, and I think I will wear it again. For my skin tone; however, I wouldn’t say it’s for everyday wear.

A picture of the matte glosses when they dried on my arm.
Natural lighting only so you can see how they really look.

The Fourth colour I wore was “Caliente”  number 1613. It is very bright and very red. I applied this colour at about 12pm. I used a small amount of Vaseline an hour before application and it worked like a charm. The colour itself did not wear off until 6pm when I ate 3 rolls with lots of butter! Even still my lips are kind of stained with the colour- which is kind of a plus for me. I like this colour a lot, though once again not really an everyday colour for me. My skin tone is just too light and olivey for this colour to look anywhere near natural. It’s still amazing though!

The fifth colour I tried was “Punch” number 1612. I did my usual routine in application with exfoliating and then applying a thin layer. I loved the colour on and felt very me in it. I was disappointed though, that it only lasted about 2 hours before I had to reapply, and for some reason it would not reapply smoothly, so I had to actually take the colour off and reapply it completely. It was a bummer, because it’s such a good colour. I don’t know if it’s because this specific formula is not compatible with my skin type or what, but still worth it for the price- at least I think.

The sixth colour I wore was “True Love” number 1615. I actually really liked this colour. It’s almost like a mix between “Bitten” (1617) and “Caliente” (1613). I applied it per usual with exfoliation and a little Vaseline and it worked like a charm. This colour did not budge all day through eating, kissing, talking, drinking, anything. Plus it was an awesome looking colour on me! Like- I think I like this colour as much as “Jam” (1616) or “Rose” (1614). This for me is definitely something I could wear everyday which is exciting because it is not often that I can find a colour that suits me so well.

Here's my dinky picture I took of the set in order. For some reason the lighting was weird and no matter what angle I took the picture at, the colours looked washed out. It doesn't look very professional, sorry!
Maybe at some point in the near future I can get an improved picture!
Overall I think these colours are phenomenal for the price and if you have a lippy addiction and love cruelty free products on a budget, I’d totally recommend these! Honestly they are a must try and in my case a must have! I’m not sure what the other sets are like but I’m sure it won’t be long before I purchase them and give you all a review!

e.l.f. Endless Eyes Pro Mini Eyeshadow Palette - Everyday

I got this as part of one of e.l.f.'s kits, specifically the Glam & Gorgeous Kit. If you don't want to get the whole kit, you can get the shadow palette for $7.00 here. The palette that came with the kit was the "Everyday - #85039" palette.

The name is pretty self-explanatory as it does indeed have a lot of neutral, natural colours as well as some fun ones good for everyday mix and match looks. There are lots of golds, cremes, browns, silvers, blues, purples, and red-shades.

I think these colours are actually really great for everyday use because you can either go with a more natural look or colour-coordinate based on your outfit.

These colours are not super highly pigmented so I would really recommend using a eyeshadow primer. They have some primers on e.l.f. that work quite well and are great for the price here as well as their professional version here. I've used these primers before and they work really well.

If you want a lighter more "natural" look, feel free to apply without moisturizer or primer- they colours are still very cute and shimmery on. I really like this palette and I would say it is well worth it's $7.00 price tag.

As always e.l.f. is cruelty free as a company so you don't have to worry about any of the products being put on any animals uninterested in makeup or being harmed by chemicals in the makeup.

What are your thoughts on this palette? Love it? Hate it? Comment below! Feel free to leave a recommendation for me to try out and review later on! Thanks for reading!

Updating the Blog Soon!

I'm reviewing some makeup brands right now and it's been a bit time consuming.
I want to make sure I can give the most information about the products I can so that you can be the most informed when purchasing.
Some brands I'll be reviewing are: e.l.f., Kleancolor, and Lorac!
Stay tuned, share with friends, subscribe to my blog, anything! I should be coming out with a new review by the start of next week (though I'm shooting for this weekend!)
I thought you all might enjoy this picture of a seal...
or should we call them, dog mermaids?

Many thanks,
