Adore Me Panties, Nighties, Underwear, Bras, etc.

I have become a huge fan of Adore me and their products. I recently got in touch with their customer service as well to ensure that their company supports fair labor and trade acts. This means they, their suppliers and vendors do not support any outsourced or international sweatshops or slave-labor powered "factories". This is important to me because inhumane treatment of people is being used to create clothing which is then sent into the U.S. The prices of these clothing items are so low not necessarily because they're foreign, but because they are made in factories or shops that do not treat their employees ethically or pay them a livable wage at all. More info: here.

I really enjoy Adore Me's site layout as it's easy to navigate. You can tell exactly what you're looking for, when, and where. You can look up specific item details such as size, colour, style, or if you want a corset or sleepwear. It's super convienient. The prices can be high, but I tend to use other's links (like the one I've provided below) to obtain discounts. I also subscribe to the site's newsletter so I get the hints on each upcoming sale or good deal!

Onto my purchases and my Reviews:

I got 6 pairs of undies for a fabulous price. Panties on Adore Me are regularly $14.95 a pair. For 6 pairs that would be a whopping total of $89.70 before tax. Which is crazy! So I watched the newsletters and saw they were doing a 6 for $39.96 sale. Especially fantastic due to the fact Adore me always has free shipping and free returns/exchanges. On to each pair!

So This is literally my kid in a candy shop moment, and the first pair I go with is they Kathy Hipster shown above. I know, super boring, right? But Let me tell you, they are such a cute powdery grey-purple colour and are sheer all around! Not to mention super comfy, easy to wash, and yes, you are seeing that right! They come with a little pear charm! Can't go wrong.

I felt more confident after my first choice and I've been wanting some more comfortable lacy undies so I ran to them (if that's possible to do on a site?) I saw these, the Hailee Bikini, and thought they were more pink, but no, they're quite red. Still very cute; however. They remind me of strawberry short cake. Extremely comfortable and again, very importantly easy to wash.

When I was younger I was much more into thongs because I wore a lot of dresses and skirts. Now that I wear a lot more jeans, I tend to find  myself in that uncomfortable situation where the jeans are  being eaten by my butt and the thong is not protecting me at all. I still miss how cute thongs look on though, and how insanely comfortable they are to wear in most situations so I broke down and got these, the Giada Cheeky Thong. They wear like a thong, but almost just look like panties! Really! I love them though and they're super comfy and again, easy to wash.

I don't know why the Eloisa Bikini didn't include pictures like the other panties had on their page and web searches, but oh well. These are super unusual for me because of the colour but I decided to take a risk anyway! I love them. The colour is exactly as the picture- a beautiful deep blue-almost turquoise. They are very silky, and super comfy. Again, very easy to wash.

The Sonya Bikini might be my favorite on this list! I love the bright pink and creme colours. The fact that all of the lace is in the front too makes me extra happy. Not sure why. These are much like the Eloisa Bikini undies in the way they fit and feel. Again super soft, comfortable, and easily washable.

The Kellye Bikini undies are my second favorite. They mostly have lace in the backside and they are super soft and comfortable. I wasn't completely sure about the almost mauve colour that they come in, but having them in person and seeing them on- I love them! Again very easy to wash as well!

All of the undies I got this purchase were fantastic. I've gotten sets and lingerie from them before, but really specifically liked their undies. I'm glad I tried the 6 for $39.96 deal- otherwise I would have just run down to Walmart and gotten crappy, cheaply made undies that were probably made unethically and aren't even worth it. $40 for 6 pairs of panties seems like a lot but they are a lot more than you would expect. I was kinda grumpy with myself for buying for that price, but for the quality and durability of the product, it's worth it. Bonus: If it makes you feel special and pretty, then why not?

My final say on Adore Me products is; definitely try out their products at least once! Use my link below to get a discount and try it out at least once. I would consider the undies to be a must have, but if you like bras, nighties, or lingerie, definitely try those out too- they have so many options!

Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Foaming Mask

So I've recently become aware and fascinated by the number of house hold, beauty, and other miscellaneous products are still tested on animals A theme here for my blog is trying to highlight products that are not tested on animals. We have enough knowledge of chemicals, soaps, makeup, toothpastes, and detergents now that we don't need to test on animals. Europe is already ahead of the U.S. with an international ban on cosmetic testing. That's definitely a  step in the right direction.  On bliss' website they state; "bliss and Laboratoire Remède do not test on animals."
While this sounds promising, I'm not 100% sure. Peta and Crueltyfreekitty both state that bliss and it's affiliates DO test on animals. If you have any information on the matter, please comment below and let me know! I love bliss products, but I don't love them as much as I love cruelty free!

Starting with price; bliss products are not often cheap. This Mask itself cost $27 on clearance at Kohl's I even had $10 in Kohl's cash and it was still $17. Great price, though in comparison to $39.99 or $42 that you can find it for at normal stores or online.

My Review:

I got this today and have been excited to try it out since I work in the Jewelry/Beauty department at Kohl's and saw this go on sale. I've tried other bliss products before and loved them so I was excited to try this one out.
I followed directions, dampened my face, applied the mask and waited 5 minutes.

It tickled as it foamed up and you could definitely hear it foaming too. It's a good smelling fun mask that didn't irritate my skin or over dry it. It does suggest to moisturize after you wash the mask off- and I totally agree.

If you have really oily skin normally, you may be fine but normal to dry skin should definitely moisturize. My boyfriend who has oily/normal skin said he really liked how soft and bright his face looked after using. I agree that my face feels a bit softer and is definitely brighter looking. I don't know if there is any lightening agents in this product, but it certainly does lighten you up a bit.

Overall it's a fun product, and is great for a quick moment to treat yourself, but I wouldn't say it's a must have. It's about as good as any other generic face mask, and I've hear e.l.f. makes a similar bubbling face mask that works equally well (if not better) and is for sure cruelty free

Nivea Creme and Nivea Soft

So I've recently become aware and fascinated by the number of house hold, beauty, and other miscellaneous products are still tested on animals A theme here for my blog is trying to highlight products that are not tested on animals. We have enough knowledge of chemicals, soaps, makeup, toothpastes, and detergents now that we don't need to test on animals. Europe is already ahead of the U.S. with an international ban on cosmetic testing. That's definitely a  step in the right direction.

Let's start with price. Both of these items are in the same neck-of-the-woods price wise.
A 6.8oz jar of Nivea Creme is on average $5.99. A little goes a long way however, so you may just opt to get the cheaper 2.8oz tin and save a couple of bucks as those tend to be around $2-$3.
A 6.8oz jar of Nivea Soft is on average $5.09. I haven't personally seen any smaller or larger versions of Soft, but I do know that there is at least a tube of this same creme, and I've heard it has also come in other sizes for varying price.
Once again, with both Nivea Soft and Nivea Creme, a little goes a long way.  I recommend using a foundation brush to apply the creme if you're using it on your face- this way it goes on evenly and hygienically and you don't use too much. I recommend the e.l.f. Foundation Brush. It's cheap, works well, and none of e.l.f.'s products are tested on animals.

You can find both these products and more at Nivea's website.

My Review:

I grew up having extremely oily skin but lately it's been super dry and it just keeps getting more and more dry as the days go by. Some days I have an oily day but most days it feels like a desert!

If you have extremely dry skin, I highly recommend Nivea Creme. It is super hydrating and stays put. I personally use it before bed because I don't want to go out of the house while it's soaking up because I feel greasy. It really works though. If you use it right out of the shower as well, it will be much more effective. If you have very dry skin, this is the creme for you.It also works on hands, arms, legs, back, tummy, chest, or wherever else you need some hydration. Watch out, though, as it tends to be highly scented. While this scent is yummy, if you have any skin sensitivities or allergies to perfumes, this may not be your moisturizer.

If you have dry to combination, or even oily skin, I recommend Nivea Soft. I heard about this one in a beauty group and was skeptical because I was already in love with the regular Nivea Creme. I have to tell you guys though, this is my favorite. I have "fancy" face cremes, but this is my absolute favorite. Very mildly scented if scented at all, goes on really light, moisturizes quickly and doesn't feel greasy at all. I use this morning and night. I shower in the morning so I apply it right afterwards and it tends to work all day. If I'm a little dry before bed I apply it again. Honestly, I love this creme. If there's any product to try for sure for any skin type it would be Nivea Soft. My skin has stopped breaking out, it has become more soft and even and it doesn't feel like the Saharan desert.

What are your thoughts on Nivea Creme vs. Nivea Soft? Love it? Hate it? Comment below! Feel free to leave a recommendation for me to try out and review later on! Thanks for reading!

Meyer's Washing Lemon Verbena Detergent and Softener

So I've recently become aware and fascinated by the number of house hold, beauty, and other miscellaneous products are still tested on animals. I'm already setting a theme here for my blog as I'm not really okay with testing products on animals. We have enough knowledge of chemicals, soaps, makeup, toothpastes, and detergents now that we don't need to test on animals. Europe is already ahead of the U.S. with an international ban on cosmetic testing. That's definitely a  step in the right direction. Moving on however to this lovely, environmentally friendly, and cruelty free laundry detergent.

First off on price. I got my bottle of Lemon Verbena Detergent Target on clearance for $11.18 for 44oz and 64 loads. You can most definitely stretch the number of loads. Most detergent brands suggest half a cap but if you are on your own and doing small loads you can use a quarter of a cap and your clothes will be just fine. If you're doing a medium to large load, go ahead and use the recommended amount.
The bottle of Lemon Verbena Detergent I got from my local grocery store for around the same price, $11.35(ish). That bottle is 32oz and is good for 32 loads, but once again can be stretched depending on how scented you want your clothes to be and how big your load of laundry is.

There's also a set of three items for laundry on the Meyer's website which include detergent, softener, and dryer sheets for $29.99. This is a pretty swaggy deal considering you get free shipping over $30 purchases and there are also different scented scents to try out if you love the product. There's also a ton of other household cleaning products that are made from sustainable products and that are not tested on animals to check out as well if you love the brand!

My Review:

I've been using the detergent and softener for about 3 weeks now and have done about 20-25 loads and I must say I love it. My stepdad has sensitive skin so highly scented things tend to make him itchy, but this detergent doesn't bother him, plus it smells awesome! The scent is mild so don't expect everyone around you to be like "Woah, Lemon Verbena", but you will definitely smell pleasant if you're hugged.
The bottle of detergent is only about 1/8th of the way gone, and the same can be said for the softener. If you like soft clothes and to be able to really smell the Lemon Verbena, make sure to get the softener detergent duo.
My clothes don't feel gross and heavy after washing, the detergent goes a long way, it's not tested on animals, and  it's made from sustainable material while smelling great.
My Verdict is that this product is a must have (or at least a must try).

What are your thoughts on this detergent? Love it? Hate it? Comment below! Feel free to leave a recommendation for me to try out and review later on! Thanks for reading!
